ABOUT BEYOND THE VEIL
Comments and compliments like, "Gorgeous deep sweeping melodies" - and "Incredibly moving and heart changing lyrics", only begins to describe the all original Praise and Worship Music Ministry and experience of 'BEYOND THE VEIL'. "The very name of this group, says David Hirsch, founder of 'UNVEIL THE MUSIC', is the primary goal of this music ministry at every service, concert or event, to bring people 'beyond the veil' into the absolute holy and majestic presence of Almighty God".
Here in America and around the world, the music and ministry of 'BEYOND THE VEIL' has been heard from church platforms and major Christian events to prisons, public venues and even the frontlines of battle. Their music has been frequently used as a source of comfort, strength and edification from hospital rooms and dorm rooms to rehab programs and prison cells. They also serve as the home worship team for New Life Outreach International Church in Fredericksburg, Va.
This year, 'BEYOND THE VEIL' has been chosen to be the worship band for the 2010 'GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER' at the Expo Center in Central Park Virginia, on a day when 250 to 300 million people will join hearts, hands and faith all around the world in prayer, worship and intercession.
'BEYOND THE VEIL' deeply believes and demonstrates that the ministry of worship and praise must be understood, embraced and released according to the whole word and will of God.
All through the word of God the immeasurable importance of praise is profoundly expressed and even commanded. The Bible's first song, sung after the Israelites had crossed the Red sea, was essentially a song of praise and thanksgiving to God. Moses commanded the Israelites that when they had entered the promised land, they were to praise God for His goodness in giving them the promised land. Deborah's song specifically called the people to bless the Lord.
David's desire to praise God is recorded both in the story of his life and in the psalms he wrote. Other psalmists also called the people to live their lives praising God. Also, the O.T. prophets insruct God's people to praise Him.
The call to praise God reverberates throughout the N.T. Jesus Himself praised His Father in heaven. Paul expects all the nations to praise God and James calls us to praise the Lord. And in the end, the picture given in Revelation is of a vast throng of both saints and angels praising God continually.
Praising God is one of the main functions of angels and is the privilege of God's people, both children and adults. Furthermore, God calls all nations to praise Him. In other words, every human being that breathes is called to shout forth the praise of God.
God also commands inanimate nature to praise Him - such as the sun, moon and stars, fire, hail, snow and wind - mountains, hills, rivers, and seas, including trees and all kinds of living creatures, (see Psalm 148:1-14).
Peter calls upon the Lord's people to show forth the "praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light".
BEYON THE VEIL’S whole hearted desire is to praise the living God according to His Word and Heart. We praise Him because of the splendor, glory and majesty of our God, the One who created the heaven's and the earth - the One who is to be exalted in His Holiness - The mighty God of unfailing love, mercy and grace.
The English word "worship" is derived from an Old English word "worthship" ; in other words, worship constitutes those actions and attitudes that revere and honor the worthiness of the great God of heaven and earth. Worship must always and only be God centered. In Christian worship we draw near to God in gratitude for what He has done for us in Christ and through The Holy Spirit. It is also a declaration of faith and commitment to the Lord and an acknowledgement that He is our God, Saviour and King.
